Twitter / 堀江貴文(Takafumi Horie) 「Google Appsとサイボウズは競合する」 そう思っていた時代が僕にもありました。
こちらのまとめも合わせてどうぞ。
GoogleカレンダーをはじめとするGoogle AppsはPIMとしてはとても優れているんだけど、グループでの情報共有には必ずしも最適ではない、というのが僕らの見解。（特に日本のユーザーにとっては）
「いやだから日本はガラパゴスなんだよ」とか「だからってサイボウズが最適なのかよ」というツッコミが聞こえてきそうです。
サイボウズはスマートフォン用のアプリやAPIの公開が遅れているのは事実。
この点はすごく反省すべき点は多いと思うし、今巻き返している最中です。
KUNAIというスマートフォン用アプリのブランドもできたし、サイボウズLiveでは他のサイボウズ製品に先駆けてAPIが公開される予定。
（ちなみにサイボウズLiveは社内のサイボウズと連携するから、現状でもサイボウズLiveをハブにして、外出先から社内のサイボウズの予定情報にアクセスできる）
そんなわけで、Googleとサイボウズは日本のグループウェアについて排他的な競争をするよりも、協力して連携ソリューションを提供したほうがユーザーにとって良いのかもしれない。
サイボウズLiveのグループ内でGoogle Docsのドキュメントを簡単に共有できるようにする、とか、GMailをサイボウズ内のWebメーラーとして利用できるようにする、なんてソリューション展開っていうのは今後十分ありうる話だと思う。
