脳も同じ。ある種の刺激が足りなくなると、「脳調」が悪くなって行動をするのが億劫になってしまう。外に出るのは面倒だからとtwitterやb.hatenaを見たりしてしまう。そこにあるのは確かに「新しい情報」という刺激だ。一時的に「脳の空腹感」は満たされる。しかし人間の脳は新しい情報だけで充足するものではない。多種多様な刺激が必要だ。

あった方がいいかもしれない「脳の栄養素」候補のリスト

* 歩く、泳ぐなど(リズミカルな運動とそれによるフィードバックの刺激)
* アロマなど(嗅覚に対する刺激)
* 笑う、泣く
* 大声を出す
* 雑踏(他人の顔や声という刺激)
* 気温や湿度、天候の変化
* 物理的な移動

こうして見てみると、文字文明を発達させる以前の人間や動物にとって重要だった情報なのかという気がしてくる。
